With the extremely high water levels on Vermilion, waves caused my boathouse doors to open and my green Pelican kayak floated out to sea.  The boat started its journey in Stuntz Bay but is no longer in the bay.  If anybody found this kayak, I will offer a $50 finders fee for your effort.

You got a boat there to cruse the shore line to see if someone pulled it up? Should be an easy color to spot.

Are you on the Vermilion cabin owner's Facebook site? People are posting found/missing stuff pretty regularly with the high water. Good luck!  Just noticed your sister posted the kayak on the site....👍

I cruised the entire shoreline of Stuntz Bay and didn't see it.  Yes, it would be very easy to spot.  It either floated out of the bay and could be anywhere on Vermilion, or somebody picked it up in Stuntz Bay not knowing who it belonged to.  I had another kayak just like this (except red) and a Grumman square stern canoe loose in the boathouse and neither of those left the boathouse.  Obviously nobody took it out of the boathouse, or they would have taken both kayaks and probably the canoe also.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I will post on their site.  I already posted on my personal Facebook page, but that would have limited exposure to Vermilion regulars.

A great ending. Glad to hear that you got it back.

This season has brought many changes to the lake. I had never tied down my dock pallets until this year!
