Marcum showdown 5.6

Question

Posted

I bought a used showdown 5.6 in decent shape. Itook it out and it only sees the bottom. No jigs or bait, tried the sens all the way to 25. I had a jighead with a shiner on it, regular shiners nothing was picked up. The transducer was clicking everything else looked okay.

By chance did you get a manual when you bought it? If not you can probably print one on-line. Looks like there us some different mode settings like Ice mode? One thing you could try is putting on something really big like a big jigging rap. Then work your way down in size to see if your seeing anything other then the bottom?

I tried all that. Ice mode just heats the lcd screen so it doesn’t slow in the cold. I had a jig with a minnow i would assume if it doesn’t see that, it won’t see any fish

Did you try taking it off the Auto mode and set it manually?
