First Open Water Fishing

Recommended Posts

Fished a few spots on the Horseshoe  chain this afternoon pretty slow yet surface  water temps were around 35 degrees.  Water levels are up and plenty of bottom content floating in some of the channels and bays. Felt great to get back on some open water and use the long Rods again. ?Plenty of boats out there running around.

Yep, water is still a little cold in Central Mn.  Two lakes yesterday, Horseshoe chain and Clearwater.... couldnt find any water warmer than 45, most of the bays still had some ice floating yet on the Shoe.

Clearwater was a little better, 48-50 in the back bays.  Not a whole lot in the shallows yet.

Made it down to Okoboji this past weekend! Water temps were 39-41 degrees. Here's a video from our adventure!
