Think I accidently posted this in the wrong local. Or we don't have many people on here that enjoy a good book. Hopefully I'm wrong ? Maybe its just us old guys or I'm a minority that enjoy sitting back and letting ourselves get engulfed in some good reads. And I'm talking about turning pages not the kindle or online kind of reading  a good old fashioned book that I can take to the Turkey Blind Deer stand etc.  Lets hear some books that inspired you so others can enjoy them as well.

Mill Lacs thirty years on the big water by Joe Fellegy

First Light on the water By AL & Ron Linder

Poachers Caught By Tom Chapman

I have never enjoyed ready so it’s rare I pick up a book. When I was laid upon the couch back in 2010, I read a few by Ted dekker. Daughter saw I was on the third book and asked me “who are you and what did you do with my dad?”  Lol. The power of positive thinking by Norman Vincent Peale  I read back in about 1983. Great book!

How To Start Worrying & Start Living

Dale Carnegie

Awaken The Giant Within

Tony Robbins

God's Way Is Still The Best Way

Zig Ziglar

Great reads indoors or out. No not outdoors only,  just good for everyday life. Especially in these "crazy times"

Red fern grows was a good one read that one myself. actually have the movie. Billy Coleman  Dan and Ann quite the adventure . My Dad and uncle ran coonhounds for years so I was fortunate to experience some hunts myself. My old man had a bluetick and a redbone. Blue and Rusty. Uncle ran Black & Tans.

Why would you feel the need to edit my post Royce? The other title you eliminated is a great read, some may want to check out. You must of thought it was funny to also change this title, hehehe.

Hatchet by Gary Paulsen

Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen

Brian's Return by Gary Paulsen

The River by Gary Paulsen

All of those follow the same character and are outdoor books.

The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom is a good read. Makes you think about your daily interactions with random people you meet.

Working on the Edge by Spike Walker

and

Bush Pilots: Legends of the Old and Bold by Bob Cary and Jack Hautala

Those are the last two books I read cover to cover that are outdoor related.  Enjoyed every minute of them.

Icehawk, the second book title is more poachers caught.

I read a book about the aarmasist day storm with the plight of all the hunters that day. It was a bunch of individual short stories.  Wasn't what I expected it to be but was an ok read.

That would be a good one also very interesting I'll do some research see what I find.  My father in law tells me stories of that.

Four seasons guide to the northshore, and fishing Lake Superior. Both by Shawn Perich. Read both books multiple times. Unfortunately they are both outdated. Would love to see updated versions.
