Topwaterordie
Anyone got any place that they would like to share with me to catch walleyes from shore. That is good anytime of the season. Preferably public land. I've got bad hips and cant be lifting my canoe any longer, so Im stuck to fishing on the shore. If you have any ideas of places let me know. Id be grateful for the advice. Minnesota or North Dakota advise welcome. Oh, Ill be fishing at night mostly. Ill be using live bait, Chubs and leeches. Thanks!
h8go4s
The Minnesota DNR website has a shorefishing page: https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/fishing_piers/index.html
Popular Post gimruis
I think you're best bet is going to be in a river, especially this time of year. The lakes are piss warm right now and the walleyes are deep. Trying to catch one from shore at the moment would be very tough, even at night. Spring and fall will be your best time periods because the water is cooler. You wouldn't necessarily have to use live bait either. A jig and plastic or casting a crank bait would work. 4
Topwaterordie
Thanks for the reply. Im normally fish for bass, with topwater lures, but Id like to start going after walleyes. I know Spring and fall are the best for shore fishing. I was just hoping there was a place to setup mid summer/late summer. I guess Ill just keep catfishing in the Red River till temps go down. Ive tried fishing walleye in the red river but it has always been so hard to find the right spot. I set up for walleye and I get Catfish all the time. lol
