Thyens Lake Richmond

had to go to the clinic in paynesville this morning. there must be all of 4-5 houses out there. i grew up in richmond and have never seen that many at one time on that lake. many moons ago there was a rumor there was a gigantic pike in them waters but, all i knew was like a billion tiny sunfish. has the lake changed or is it just a new group of people living on the lake that like to fish???????

 

becker lake sure is quite active, someone musta caught a nice one!!!!!!!

Some decent Crappies in there and a few eyes. Have a guy I know who lives on there got access to fish it and this is what I found. Most of those houses are people who live on it. Its fairly hard to get permission.  Becker is a zoo this year. Quality hasn't impressed me much this year fished it a few times but not much after that .  It was better back in the day and with the amount of pressure its receiving will take some time to come back to the status it once was. Mud lake on the chain got railed last 3 years hasn't come back since.

I wouldn't know where to get on thyens either. not that its high on my go to list. I remember going swimming there and these darn little sunfish trying to take a chunk outta ya!!!!!! just find it odd that many houses!!!!!
