Spring Panfish

Looking to get out for some spring panfish once the ice gets off (which doesn't look like it will take long at this pace!).  Anybody have any tips for metro lakes with decent crappie fishing from a kayak?  If you don't want to talk spots/lakes how about some favorite tactics to try for prespawn?  Thanks in advance!

Shallow shallow 6 inches to 2 feet look to the north side of the lake. They are going into those areas now. They feeding before the spawn please practice selective harvest. Most of all have fun!!

i like a white flu or yellow with 1 inch chunk of Berkeley gulp earth worm for gills and crappies
