Just back from quick trip up to l.o.w. Went out Friday afternoon out of Morris pt. tried 26 ft. fished till dark not even one bite.Saw very little on Vexilar.

Saturday went over to Long pt. set up in 30 ft fishing by 8:15 slow till about 10 am then they started to bite had my limit of nice ones, Of which the biggest

keeper was 16 in. all saugers. Did catch 21 in. slot Walleye. And bonus 12 in. perch  Threw back 11 that were 8 to 12 in.  Left this morning before storm hit.

I basically had the same type of luck on Tuesday 2pm-Thurs noon.  Very slow or nothing until almost 11 am then a few bites until 2pm or so then done,  Was out of Cyrus in 25-26 ft, then 23ft on Thursday. Almost all sauger although they were some nice ones to keep and only one 17 in walleye that happened to cruise by about 4 ft off bottom.   No action jigging, all on glow in dark white hook.

Any Pout???

I have family members on the way now and I will be joining them in the next few days. We will be fishing that general area. (The gap, Morris point, Cyrus, Ken Mar Ke, maybe a bit to the west of there)

The goal is always pout. Walleyes and saugers are an acceptable bycatch, but a trip without pout is a disappointment.

No pout for me this time.
