yes I roasted in the house so I am looking to get a much smaller heater as I have the big buddy and heater/cooker. This what I am thinking. What do you all think?

I have a Big Buddy I use in my Clam Voyager thermo top, and a Buddy I use in my thermo Eskimo wide 1.  Normally I only have the buddy set to low in the Eskimo.  Both setups seem to work pretty well.  I haven't used my Sun heaters in years and I haven't melted or burned holes in anything in years either!  🫠

I have one of these and it works well.  Easier to light than anything else I’ve used.  Compact when broken down too..  I pack that one when I’m not sure if I’ll need heat or not.

Downside is it’s either on or off, no adjustment, and I’m always worried about tipping it over eleven though it rarely happens.

I wind up using the regular size Buddy the most when I know I want heat.  I use the Big Buddy when I can bring a 20lb tank and hose and it’s COLD.

I always got headaches after a day of fishing with the heater/cookers.

Walmart had these on clearance for $32 back in September and I couldn't pass it up despite having several other heaters already. I have actually been really impressed  with it. It gives off just the right amount of heat without turning a portable into a sauna. It does light very easy I have been very happy with it.

Well the Little Buddy heater is 3,800 BTU and the Buddy is 4,000-9,000 BTU. I figured if the Buddy is too warm at 4k, I'd crack the zipper some.

Hit Mille Lacs again and was in 28-30 feet of water. It was good action on Tullipees must have caught 25 of those buggers. They sure fight hard. I ended up with 7 perch. The biggest hit the bump board at 13 1/4 inches. I had 5 sizes 5-6, 7-9, 10-11, 11-12, and 12+.

Are you finding the white worms in your perch?  We’re seeing about a 25% rate on ours.  Most aren’t real bad but every once in a while one is really laced with em.

Yours were from Winni though and his were from Mille Lacs right?

Read this somewhere, never had to try it though?  "The solution to the white grub problem was to filet the perch and place them in salted water overnight.  The grubs crawled out and lay on the bottom of the bowl"
