Camera Mod

The more I looked at my aqua-vu the more I realized there was something wrong with it. This is one of the most important tools in a spearfishermans tool box. It gets used every time I go out. It's used every time I pre-scout a lake. To find that weed line or pocket when setting the house.

So I decided I had to modify it. The all black stealth camera had to go. Bring on decoy cam!IMG_4395.JPG

it had all the lines and defining points already molded into the body. It was almost like doing a paint by numbers or coloring book. So a couple coats each of white and red, some detail around the eyes, and a couple coats of clear coat later. Decoy cam!

It won't swim nice like a normal spearing decoy, but if I put it down to have a look around I won't feel like I need to pull it up so it doesn't creep out the fish. Now it will just look like another decoy. And if anyone gives me a hard time about not having a traditional red/white decoy in my decoy box I can just show them this.
