Hey there everybody. I don't do a ton of ice fishing, and usually just follow the crowds and hope for the best. I picked up a Vexilar this year and my oldest boy who is 8 is finally interested enough to build a fish for a half a day or so. I have a number of spots where we can go catch small sunnys all day long. But I'm looking for someplace between Lake City and Winona to get into some perch or walleyes. And I'm really intrigued by Fishing Lake Pepin. If anybody has any tips on finding fish or even a place to start out on Lake Pepin or other spots that don't get hammered by everybody else send me a PM or an email [email protected].

In the past I've fished the Wabasha Marina in multiple places around Winona. But the people are so thick its crazy that anyone catches fish.

Like I said before if you have any place that be good to start send me an email. And don't worry I know how to keep my mouth shut. Thanks anybody for the help.

I've fished the mississippi for quite a few years, though i offer no help in this area.  I do not target walleyes or have caught any while fishing the backwaters.  I've seen quite bit of traffic in Maiden Rock and point in Stockholm.  I know the locals target walleyes in these two areas.  Hope this gives you an idea, good luck!
