Water clarity

Anyone poked a hole along the south shore yet? I'm hoping the water wasn't too stirred up prior to freeze up. Clarity was fair when we were in the boat late November, but there were some stout winds after that. Baudette game wardens report mentioned the Four Mile Bay waters were not real clean for the spear fishermen and Red Lake is quite dirty. So anybody know what the main lake looks like?

Appears we can at least get on the ice a good bit earlier than last year.

First guys out drilling holes in the lake say it is pretty good.

I heard from a coworker that went out earlier this week on the Warroad side said it is pretty murky.

Buggzy has spear shacks out, so it cant be all bad.
