Can someone closer to the situation comment on whether there is enough snow on the lake to run a sled rather than a wheeler.  We're planning to fish this Thursday - Sunday.  Thanks much for the input.

I was at Rocky Pt this weekend.  The ice there froze up rather rough, looks like 6 to 8" flakes.  There was no snow as of Sunday morning.  Looks like some snow on the lake now.  I am planning to fish Fri and Sat and at this time anticipating wheeler over snow mobile.

The "footprint" of a snowmobile is safer vs a wheeler, I'm crossing my fingers for snowmobile capable transport.. this weekend?  Morris point area... maybe???

I honestly would rather be on a sled vs a wheeler

I agree with the sled comments but you may want to have some ice scatchers down to lube the hyfax and cool the sled if not a fan motor. I have a fan but melted my hyfax to the track a few times with low to no snow. :(

If I make the run up there this weekend it will be by wheeler.

Not enough snow snow for the liquid cooled machine that's for sure but I have a nice light 400 too. Not a big 850 like a lot of guys have
