I know a lot can change, but what are the odds with this upcoming weather that we will be making our scheduled ice fishing trip that would start on Wed (14th) using 4 mile bay to get out to the lake?

The Bay is so different from the Lake.  The heavy breeze is keeping the lake open.  Things calm down Fri to Sun that will most likely freeze the lake over.  Then we get strong winds again on Mon to Wed that could likely blow it open again.  You may be able to fish the bay, but I am doubting the lake.  JMHO.  I can wait, but I am getting the itch.

Last year it was Dec. 26th before they opened the road up out of Morris pt. for 4 wheelers. Thinking its looking like that again this year. Hope I can hold out. Between the ice show and this website getting very fired up.

This year started out like last year but starting tonight the temps are nothing like last year. There will probably be vehicles by the 26th. I'm still feeling good about sleds on the 17th.

Man I hope your right that would be awesome to get out earlier this year. After the great fall fishing guessing it will carry over to early ice and beyond.

Oh yeah I hope I'm right too Ray gotta stay positive it's looking good. I have to buddies on devils lake right now and they are on 6-7"

Sounds like a strong possibility i am fishing thru sportsman Friday and they said as of right now we are still scheduled to be fishing Friday!
