Made it out to North Center today by sunken island. Not very good, one perch. Marking them just not committing. Lots of water on ice, but ice is fine. 17 inches. 

 

As far as north access, off Nelson road on east side there is an access. Put money in the box and don't be a Richard, I believe it is owned by a farmer and let's people use

Hi, I know it sounds like a stupid question but....how is the ice on Chisago.  I have not been out since Christmas and that was on the wheeler.  I want to hit Chisago on Friday and wondering if people are driving around everywhere or is it iffy?  Guessing things should be pretty good especially after a couple of days of cold. Any info greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Ice on comfort was 16.75 inches, and conditions were great! I could've easily caught 100 crappies if I was totally concentrating on fishing, but I was "guiding" my 8 year old daughter instead. Was her first ever crappie, and had about 20 more to follow.
