Yeah 8 years straight we have gone around December 8-12 depending on which days the 2nd weekend in December landed on. All those years there was a minimum of 8" all the way to 16" a couple years. And last year we switched to the 5th and there was no ice on lotw but switched to red last minute and there was 5-6". And this year is even further behind schedule.

Well just switched weekends from the 8th to the 16th I'm feeling confident about snowmobiles that weekend!

Been keeping an eye on the webcams in our area(near Winnie) & it appears that the rain from Sunday/Monday pretty much took care of all the snow(14"-16") they got the week before Thanksgiving. Gave MODIS a couple peeks but it's been too cloudy.

Forecast temperature-wise looks favorable for ice mid- to late-next week, but it does not look like the winds are going to cooperate.

Yep kind of a catch 22 the cold is blowing in!

Looking for a freeze up on Friday.  Temps will have been favorable for over a week and then the wind lets up.
