The fish are on the move! Good numbers showing up on the south shore. Charters targeting the south shore and the catch rate has been strong. Jig bite is on the rise tipped with a shiner. Drifting spinners with a crawler has its days. Crankbaits producing limits as well in the mud on the south shore in 32-34 feet. Hot colors include gold, chartreuse, purple, and pink.

The Rainy River and 4 Mile Bay is a good option as walleyes are starting to move in from the lake.  Drifting spinners, jigging, and pulling crankbaits have all been successful in pulling walleyes.

Up at the Northwest Angle, anglers also catching good numbers of walleyes on the south side of Oak Island, Oak Point, down to Rabbit Ears and the east bar of Little Oak in 15 to 25 feet. In Ontario waters, Twin Island, Bishop Bay, and the east side and west side of Falcon have been good in 14-26 feet. Look for sunken islands and offshore rock reefs. Gold, green, and orange jig tipped with a minnow. Jumbo perch in livewells as well. Crappies in 30 foot holes next to rocky points. For muskies, casting large crankbaits, bucktails, and topwaters has been really moving these large predators! For resorts, guides, or everything Lake of the Woods visit our website at www.fishingminnesota.com/forums/forum/71-lake-of-the-woods-fishing-reports-hunting/
