My wife and I are headed up to Mattila's on Birch lake mid-Sept. for our anniversary.

Mainly interested in CPR'ing some of those big pike that are in there, but might try to put some crappies and/or walleyes together for a fish fry one night.

We usually troll big creek chubs or suckers on heavy duty lindy rig type quick strike rigs or run deep diving cranks baits for the pike.

Any tips for Birch this time of year?
