Turkeys seem to be showing up every where again. I have been seeing lots of turkeys in small groups say 5 to 10 birds. Seen 3 toms strutting last night.

I'm still seeing a lot of larger groups.  Plenty of strutting though.

I think they will soon be in the same category as Sandhill Cranes. They were fun to see but now there are so many they've became a nuisance.

Seeing groups from 2-20 birds smaller groups seem to be toms strutting around. Let's hope it is a good year. Remember about the turkey contest going on this site. Please sign up in the turkey hunting forum.

I don't know I still like watching the Turkeys and the Sandhills.... I don't know what they are doing to you to make you think they are a nuisance.

The cranes can wipe out an entire field worth of planted corn in just a couple of days if they are safe and undisturbed.

We need to thin out the Isanti county flock but nobody with the DNR will listen.

We will have 40+ at a time at the farm. Last fall it was common to see them in groups of 20-25 in one spot. That is just west of Cambridge.

The DNR estimates as many as 75,000 birds "fall stage" in Minnesota. And in 2012 there were as many as 7200 nesting birds in the northwestern part of the state. There's a bunch !

Hi hopes for downing a turkey and not shot fired. I should not have drank that huge Mountain Dew and Gatorade this morning, because when I got out of the blind 2 Toms spoted me. Game over for day one for me. I did move my blond so can pee without getting busted.

I had a tom coming and then the unthinkable a massive shotgun blast rang out. Yep the neighbor shot a great tom. I had few hens come around and one found my spread a safe spot for a nap.

Took the field road to the farm tonight. It's probably a half mile or so. 16 Cranes watched me pass them.

Well if could figure out how to post videos from my phone I would show a group of jakes 11 to 13 of them it was hard to keep track. I called a big jake or a short bearded tom and when I let the bolt fly he dropped into strut and I shortened a few feathers. I went back out for the evening with my nephew and I called 2 toms in but they never stopped for a shot.

My cousin borrowed my blind and decoys  to hunt at camp Ripleys veterans turkey hunt. He had a blast and he got a a turkey!

I am pumped up for this morning. As I am seeing 2 toms together and I have all day to wait them out today! If the group of jakes show up one is in big trouble
