howes the ice doing in walker bay? will there be enough to safley support such a shindig. how about pressure ridges. where might they be running? any info will be cool. thanks.

Was out on Saturday on east side and northern end of the Bay - measuring about 14"-15". There is a pressure ridge running NE from First Point on the west side all the way across the bay and then curling north on the east side up in the direction of Cedar Point. As far as I know, the only safe crossing is right near shore by First Point out from the marina. There may be more ridges, but that's the only one I have come across...but I don't get out much.

Where is the main area of pout fest usually located? Will be heading up for my 1st fest on the 17th and would like to pre scout some spots. I'd like to set up within walking distance of the events bit not in the fray

if u.set.up wth in walkig distance of sniffers row, yur in sniffes row. if yu want to.actually fish, thats another story. classic features are best.

Which access is used to go out of? Walking distance for me will be about a mile if needed. I'll probably be drunk and will not be on anything with a motor to avoid trouble

The main event area starts about where the short spur drawn on the map ends and runs south towards the main access in the park in Walker.

you wont be on a vehicle of any kind to avoid trouble, LMAO. wait till you see what gose on. get a map and find a flat adjacent to deep water for eyes, in the evening. pout... your on your own . have fun be safe. sturgis on ice!!
