Stuffed with shrimp

fishing tech

Recommended Posts

Was up over the weekend fishing. Very slow bite. When I got home and cleaned the fish we caught their bellies were all full of shrimp. Not one had anything other then shrimp in them. Do you think this is why the bite is so slow?

I have heard that walleyes love soft shelled shrimp. Once I  tried to catch some and fish with them. I found it very hard to keep them on a hook.  Interesting thought you have tho as with the heavy runoff from the bog this fall and early winter a lot of shrimp and other food could have been washed into the lake.

EDIT

I might have the name wrong about what I'm talking about. What  I call "Soft Shelled Shrimp" are about the size of a 25 cent coin with a hard black shell over the top, narrow 1/8 inch wide body under that with 2 feelers?antennae? out the back about 1/2 inch.
