driving?

Are any of the roads open to vehicle traffic yet? or just wheelers/sleds? I just have a jeep but have the next couple days off and would like to head up that way.

Was up this past weekend and Zipple Bay was sleds and ATV's only.  I think all the resorts are that way as there was still 4" of ice under drifts and 8" elsewhere.  Good luck if you head up.

Some of my family up this last weekend......wheelers point through Adrian's over 4 mile bay......sleds and wheelers only.  Son in law out to 28'...10" of ice.  7 people filled out, mostly nice saug

Thanks, I called around and no one is driving. There is a serious cold snap that is supposed to hit there this weekend so I wouldn't be surprised if they are driving by next weekend. staying in a rental wheel house or hard house on LOTW is too expense for my taste so Ill wait till they are driving out and rent a cabin instead. Thanks guys.

i was at rock harbor yesterday fishing...their houses are on 11 inches of ice but the said if you go out past their houses its only 3-4 inches...

Plenty of small SUV's out when I left Tuesday. Same story though, 10" where we were but 100 yards farther north only had 6"

those small suvs are the resort rigs for moving houses and people most are equiped with floats

My prediction is people will be driving by next Friday.  This upcoming cold snap will get things moving in the right direction.

I'm hoping 1/2 tons are out by this weekend, really wanting to get some fishing in... Can anyone chime in on what they saw for ice thickness the last couple of days?

I found 12 inches at the end of Adrian's road this weekend.  Adrian's reports significantly less ice over Fourmile bay.
