Going across the bay today there was 4 to 5 inches of ice. There are still some open holes in the normal early ice spots. Out in the lake there was 6 to 6 1/2 inches of ice out in front of where we cross pine island. I went out two miles from pine island and did not see any bad spots. We are suppose to get snow tomorrow. Hopefully we do not get very much. I will decide after that if I will mark a trail across the bay yet. The first people fishing out over pine island was today. They got their limits but we should wait a couple more days for safety purposes. I will let you know when I know more.
