It was Buddy Hillman in a white Dodge Dakota I believe.  We were fishing out there on Thursday morning and were pretty surprised until I saw who was in the truck!

We finally have a clear view for the satellite picture. The dark areas are where it broke wide open during the west wind. Do not follow your GPS and LISTEN to the road operators.

Any ice updates from those who were out over the weekend would be greatly appreciated. Heading up on the 26th and hoping that our plans are sustainable.

Was out fishing the 19th and 20th out of the east side.  On the 19th we were out .7 miles and had 7 to 8 inches of good ice in 10 ft of water.  We got our 15 fish but it took 6 hrs to get them.  On the 20th we decided to go out further and went out 1.7 miles and had about 8 inches of good ice.  We fished from 8:00 to noon and got the 5 we needed for our limit.  We caught fish but it wasn't great.

Thanks for the update CLPBD! Does anyone know if the lake is close to locking up yet?

It is getting closer to locking up but we need some more cold weather. 10 to 20 mph SE winds for tomorrow will show us something. Really there is no need to go out deep as it appears that there are plenty of fish in the 8 to 10 foot range. Last winter other then 2 weeks I never fished deeper then 7 feet of water.
