Hello fisherman, the fishing is heating up at Flag Island Resort. Limits are being caught daily and the bite is pretty steady all day long,frozen shiners seem to be the ticket with pink and gold and plain gold. the canadian crappie bite is strong but the ice is very sketchy !!!!! we do not recommend going in on your own. stop by Flag Island and we will let you know what we found that day as we are checking it every day. we recommend that for your safety there are a lot of spots with less than 3 inches. Daune has started a plowed road to Flag Island Resort from young bay but has not made it all the way yet.so we are still transporting people who don't have snomachines. where we are fishing in little traverse bay we have 6 to 10 inches of ice.So the season has begun at Flag Island Resort be safe everyone and tights lines.
