With all the ducks I am seeing next weekend should be a fun time. I am going to be chasing Ducks in the morning and deer in the evening. I am jacked up for this duck season. My cousins husband said we will be doing more diver hunts this year. I am thinking I will hunt my dad's pond opening morning, because I will be deer hunting the field that afternoon.

I was pretty impressed with the amount of ducks I saw around MN the few times I was there dog training this summer. I think if you guys scout out a solid spot, you're going to have a good weekend.

Good luck everyone!

It will be a little warm and blue bird like weather, but it will still be a good time. With all the opening weekend and done'ers out there to keep birds moving around.

I look forward to it every year. Good luck to all and be careful.

My hunting partner is busy Saturday so we will just head out Sunday morning. I'm going to check the access of the lake we will be going to on Saturday morning. If it looks like a zoo we will chase geese instead.

What's the rules for hunting public lakes? I know there is a distance from buildings. Anything else you need to know? Thanks

No distance from buildings under state law when on public water, there are local ordinances for some towns/townships.
