Just wondering what everyone's opinion and experiences were with this. I have always taken my TV home with me but it is a pain so I'm wondering if any of you have trouble leaving them out in your shacks on the ice.

Any help wold be great!

Thanks

My brother has had an LCD tv in his Screen porch for the last 3-4 years, without any problem. He uses it all Winter for viewing from the hot tub.

I'd guess you have more concerns with the bumping and banging driving around the lake than the temp. I know many people say they let their house warm up before turning on the TV, but like I said my brother's lives outside and is never warm in the winter.

Theft would be a concern

I also have one in my shack and leave it in there all the time with no problem. I do try to let it warm up before turning it on and I use some bungees to make sure it doesn't bounce too much when moving, etc.

I believe that the freeze/thaw cycle will degrade the picture quality over time, but with the price of tvs these days it's probably not worth the hassle of moving.

Mine has been it the fish house for 4 years and works as good as new. I think mine is LED not LCD. Aren't most TV's LED now ?

I have an LCD TV outdoors by my hot tub, year round.. And I have an LED TV in my wheelhouse that I always leave in there. I pull mine off the wall and bungee it down just so that it doesn't come off the wall banging around during transport.

I asked a TV guy what was best, and he said that TVs don't handle large, quick temperature swings best.. So its actually worse for them to go from inside a warm car, to a cold fishhouse. The gradual warm-up of the fishouse is best for them.. Take it for what it is worth!

What I really wanna know is:   How’d get that lattice to curve like that?  Bomb diggity!

Fish Newton lake is great for walleyes. Everyone goes to basswood and forgets about newton. The late fall pike bite in pipestone is amazing and it’s a great time to catch the big walleyes are up there feeding too.

It would cost you 830 bucks to watch every game this NFL season under multiple platforms.   I don't have peacock or espn+ or whatever they want me to have, so I'll just have to relent on being able to watch a few games.  I refuse to cave in to their demands just to watch the Packers play the Eagles in Brazil.  I think last year peacock had the exclusive rights to the Miami/KC playoff game too.  I'm sure that will occur again in January.

Well it's a win, but it wasn't to Purdy with all the turn overs and penalties!

Oop, must be another Vikings game.  So far it's been a Prudy game, Viks!  😁

Another prediction.   Under the cloud of "Woke Inclusion" Just like the Mn state flag and the Mn Twins, the Vikings name will be going away in a few years! Their already making them look like Snow flakes!  We can't have the uniforms of angry Norwegian people!  Sounds funny but. Wait for it! 😒

New frontiers.  Expand the market; make more money.  Despite some PR moments, they’re not in it for charity.   BUT, they might want to take a moment and see how that worked out for NASCAR.  Not that having to buy premium channels to watch races was the only problem but it sure helped kill the fever for a lot of people.

Get ready. Any bets in a few years the average Joe NFL fans aren't going to be able to watch their local teams, unless it's pay for view!  Sounds like their greasing the wheels now.  There are 5 international games this year! ☹️ "The NFL will play a regular season game in Madrid, Spain in 2025, as the NFL prioritizes global growth and expands the International Games to new cities and markets around the world."
