Maybe we should just have the IRS control the internet since they are already skilled at wiping data and suppressing the opposition at the behest of Obama and the DNC.

You know there isn't much to stand on when you have to try confuddle net neutrality with obamacare and IRS scandals.

Let's make it a quadrafecta and bring Benghazi and Fast & Furious into the equation.

Bring em in.

Thinking people will deduce the common denominator.

The common denominator is everything democrat or Obama you're against, even things I'm still pretty sure you don't even understand enough to formulate an opinion on.

So you defend the Admistration's actions on Benghazi, and Fast & Furious? I didn't think there was anyone left in the country that still believed the official stories about videos, spontaneous demonstrations, and whatever the excuse for all those guns walking across the border was.

Surely you jest.

I'm guessing bobby doesn't "defend" those actions as much as he chooses to ignore them altogether. "Nothing to see here". Seems like that's the way Progressives work with this president. There's no accountability whatsoever. Same with the lying about Gruber's 'stupid voter' Obamacare stuff. Anything that goes wrong is either ignored (Gruber, Benghazi, etc) or blamed on GWB, even 6+ years later. If these same type of things happened under a Republican administration, the press and the progressives would be ALL OVER it.

That is the way the two parties you guys are beholden to operate. The left ignores benghazi ,the aca lies etc while the right was ignorant of Valerie Plame, wmd, the Katrina fiasco and every screw up from Bush. Prior to that there was the blue dress, what the word is is, read my lips etc.but hey,as long as your side is winning then there are no problems.

I thought we were talking about net neutrality.

Yes, I ignore benghazi when it comes to net neutrality. Net neutrality has been floating around longer than Benghazi. It also has jack squat to do with it.

Dude you are dense. Let's just go back to Net Neutrality is bad because Obamacare is bad.

Can't ignore it. Bobby was the one that injected Benghazi etc into the discussion.

As for me, I think in principle that net neutrality is probably a good idea if that means that the carriers don't discriminate due to source or content. I would however support the ability of the carriers to charge for disproportionate use of the network, where someone was putting way more data into the backbone than they were accepting from the backbone.

Putting the FCC in charge and treating the internet like the Railroads or the Telephone network seems like a bad idea, like killing the deer fly on your foot by hitting it with a sledge hammer. If that is what it takes to have "net neutrality" then I oppose it.

I brought it into the discussion immediately after saying there must not be much to stand on if you have confuddle obamacare and irs scandals into why net neutrality is bad.

Uncle bill and Mike probably not, but I know you're smarter than that del.

You made a mistake. The reason those things were mentioned was to explain why some of us don't trust the Obama administration to tell the truth as to what they intend. For example, see ACA and Gruber. I favor Net Neutrality by some definitions of Net Neutrality. I oppose Net Neutrality that turns the internet into a common carrier under regulation by the FCC.

Obama can call it Net Neutrality, and try to get us to buy a pig in a poke but I oppose his version on the grounds of lack of trust. Even the head of the FCC thinks it is a bad idea.

CNN's Candy Crowley asked senator franken, "What is it that's broken?"

"Nothing," he replied.

Crowley returned, "So if nothing's broken, why is the government wanting to fix it?"..

Oh, boy !

These net neuter guys really make a good argument.

Adding any kind of fast lanes etc to the internet nullifies net neutrality.

But I will say we have run into issues with what I work with where parts of certain networks get overwhelmed with certain types of traffic. So in some cases it would be nice if there were ways to prioritize some traffic over others. Say business traffic gets a higher place than someone streaming porn. But again that is not neutrality.

Ah, back to the "I'm smarter than everyone else" routine.

You sound like another Progressive elitist, Gruber, who also "Thinks" he's smarter than everyone else. shocked

As I've told you in the past, despite what you think, or what someone may have told you, you're NOT as smart as you THINK you are, and your incisive need to call out others you don't agree with by trying to belittle them, only confirms how small and foolish you look when doing it.

You may want to consider a different approach. Dude. laugh

I am not sure who I am smarter than, but I can tell when someone is micturating on my shoe and telling me it is raining.

I am still considering the arguments on both sides but I know for sure that giving the FCC dominion over the Internet is a Bad Idea. Most of you guys are probably way to young to remember the days of the ATT control of the phone network. You were not allowed to connect anything not approved by ATT and the FCC to the telephone network. Nothing. NaDa. Zip.

Look up the "Carterphone Decision"

Be afraid, be very afraid.

BTW I wouldn't believe anything the Obama administration says. Nothing. They could tell me the sun will come up in the morning and I would look when I got up.

With the early ice out, how is the curlyleaf pondweed doing?

On the south end...   The big basin, otherwise known as Big Traverse Bay, is ice free.  Zippel Bay and Four Mile Bay are ice free as well.  Everything is shaping up nicely for the MN Fishing Opener on May 11th. With the walleye / sauger season currently closed, most anglers are targeting sturgeon and pike.  Some sturgeon anglers are fishing at the mouth of the Rainy River, but most sturgeon are targeted in Four Mile Bay or the Rainy River.  Hence, pike are the targeted species on the south shore and various bays currently.   Pike fishing this time of year is a unique opportunity, as LOW is border water with Canada, the pike season is open year round. The limit is 3 pike per day with one being able to be more than 40 inches. All fish 30 - 40 inches must be released. Back bays hold pike as they go through the various stages of the spawn.  Deadbait under a bobber, spinners, spoons and shallow diving crankbaits are all viable options.   Four Mile Bay, Bostic Bay and Zippel Bay are all small water and boats of various sizes work well. On the Rainy River...  Great news this week as we learned sturgeon will not be placed on the endangered species list by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.     The organization had to make a decision by June 30 and listing sturgeon could have ended sturgeon fishing.  Thankfully, after looking at the many success stories across the nation, including LOW and the Rainy River, sturgeon fishing and successful sturgeon management continues.   A good week sturgeon fishing on the Rainy River.  Speaking to some sturgeon aficionados, fishing will actually get even better as water temps rise.     Four Mile Bay at the mouth of the Rainy River near the Wheeler's Point Boat Ramp is still producing good numbers of fish, as are various holes along the 42 miles of navigable Rainy River from the mouth to Birchdale.   The sturgeon season continues through May 15th and resumes again July 1st.   Oct 1 - April 23, Catch and Release April 24 - May 7, Harvest Season May 8 - May 15, Catch and Release May 16 - June 30, Sturgeon Fishing Closed July 1 - Sep 30, Harvest Season If you fish during the sturgeon harvest season and you want to keep a sturgeon, you must purchase a sturgeon tag for $5 prior to fishing.    One sturgeon per calendar year (45 - 50" inclusive, or over 75"). Most sturgeon anglers are either a glob of crawlers or a combo of crawlers and frozen emerald shiners on a sturgeon rig, which is an 18" leader with a 4/0 circle hook combined with a no roll sinker.  Local bait shops have all of the gear and bait. Up at the NW Angle...  A few spots with rotten ice, but as a rule, most of the Angle is showing off open water.  In these parts, most are looking ahead to the MN Fishing Opener.  Based on late ice fishing success, it should be a good one.

Nice fish. I moved to the Sartell area last summer and just thought it was windy like this everyday up here? 🤭

Crazy windy again today.... This is has been the norm this spring. Between the wind and the cold fronts, fishing has been more challenging for me than most years.  Panfish have been moving in and out of the shallows quite a bit. One day they are up in the slop, the next they are out relating to cabbage or the newly sprouting lilly pads.  Today eye guy and I found them in 4-5 ft of water, hanging close to any tree branches that happened to be laying in the water.  Bigger fish were liking a 1/32 head and a Bobby Garland baby shad.   Highlight of the day way this healthy 15incher
