Hello everyone my report for today dec 4th the road out of Bugsys on bostic bay will open to full size on tues of next week. if nothing changes for the worse. I just want everyone to know that the road this winter will look nothing like it ever has, this is the worst ice for roughness that i have seen we are out to about 25 ft of water with the road now and the rough ice in front of us well i haven't even figured out how to get through it yet. and it looks bad for the next several miles so no idea how far out the road will even go. But i will try to keep it going out I would be really happy if the road could make it to about 33 ft of water which is about 7 miles but we will have to see what happens. so there it is be safe everyone. Oh ya there is a pretty good sized crack in about 10 ft of water we have it matted right now so just be aware of it will bridge it next week if need be. have fun everybody and watch for new updates.

Thanks for all of the reports Roger. Coming up the 12th running portables and have the sleds on the trailer. Wondering if I should switch to 4 wheelers. Is there any snow on the ice? Thx.

Just an update on the road at Bugsys on bostic we are open to everything. and its 10.00 per day for a rd pass thats for all kinds of rigs if you have a wheel house behind you its still 10.00 a day. Hope this clears up any confusion. BUGSYS IS THE OLD RANDALLS RESORT. they have a fish cleaning house full bar and restaurant . our rd goes out 3 miles and has red and black stakes. there have been other colored stakes put between ours from other resorts, but the red and black are the ones to look for. Thanks everybody and be safe.

Fisky the bite is a little slow but if you work at it, theres no problem getting your fish:).

Hello fisherman, the bite is kinda slow over the last couple days but there were limits caught in 21to 24 ft but they had to work hard for them. i am going to stake the road out another 3 miles i fished out there for a bit yesterday and caught my sugars pretty fast so i will stake out there so people can go deeper if they would like it will be about 32 ft where the road ends. Also wanted to let everyone know that we will be taking houses across the lake to garden island. So anybody interested in doing that can contact Rogers Lake of the woods adventures. number and contact info is in my sig. or you can phone Bugsys on Bostic 218-634-1987. thanks everybody and be safe its still kinda rough out there. The road will be marked with RED and BLACK stakes smile out of Bugsys.

Just an update on Bugsys Ice RD. 3 pm Dec 18th . A crack has opened up in about 15 ft of water, it is matted but make sure your tires are on the mats. the crack should come together as the temp rises. be careful everyone smile.

Thanks for showing us around. It's hard to beat that kind of action. All good size, all in under 2 hours and some bonus walleye thrown in. Didn't see a single other fisherman and travel was easy. Thanks again!

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
