I like the Vikes today, by at least a touchdown. Who's with me?

Don't underestimate that St. Louis defense. The O-line is gonna have to play well to give Cassel the time he needs, as he doesn't seem to handle pressure real well.

I'm interested to see how Kalil looks...

Vikes 23or27 Rams 17.

I look for us to be 8-8 or 9-7 this year as long as we can stay healthy. I hope we win the turnover battle this season, and cut back on some of the stupid penalties.

Peterson was Rusty which can be expected but it will be a tough road the next several weeks. If we can go 500 though the next 6 games I will be impressed.

Great road win today.

Nice to see the defense going in the right direction.

I don't even think AP was that rusty, they were just making some real nice tackles. They have one of the best defensive fronts in football.

Solid victory we needed that one!

I already have my spot on the parade route.

On a side note Peterson did not look the same. Not sure if its rust or what. I've never seen him get tackled multiple times so easily with one arm grabs etc. Speed and power didn't seem to be there today.

Defense looked great.

Very good game, the D played great. Patterson was awesome. Peterson didn't do great by his standards but was still very good.

Same! It’s been terrible for me. I always blame myself but I feel like rumor around the lake is that it isn’t worth fishing for walleyes after June or before September. I hope that’s not the case and it is just me lacking knowledge.

Excellent report Muskies!  Thank you!  Also really appreciate the pictures that you include in your posts.  We are looking forward to being on the lake boat camping in 16 days.

Fished Whitefish both Sunday and Monday from about 6AM until 10AM each day. Used only artificial lures.  Trolled  weed edges some of the time with Shad Raps #8 size, and then a little deeper with the #9 size Flicker Minnow.  Only caught one 29 inch Northern trolling.  Spent about 1/2 of the time casting  a jig and soft plastic into about 12 ft to 18 ft  where there were decent, but not great weeds.  Caught  several small Northerns plus 2 more that were 27" and 28".   The bonus was a 17.5" Largemouth.  No Walleyes either day.   Monday had several "bite offs" on the soft plastics.  That is kinda the problem with using them where there are Pike.

Timber Bay Lodge is a good spot, I always go there when I go to birch lake.

Launched out of Copas today. Water is really low. And the wind was really blowing upstream (what else is new? 🙄) I had to run my outboard in reverse just to drift downstream in some stretches. Fishing was really slow. Caught 2 little smallies and 32” and 29” pike. Pike are sitting right on the bottom where cold springs are entering. Tried trolling the main channel, but didn’t catch anything.

So I figured I'd leave a report. I got up Saturday night. Problem is..... not much of a report other than in 10 years fishing this lake its the worst 2 days fishing ive ever had. I did get 2 16"last evening. But both mornings? Ive never fished so many thick pods of fish that would not go on anything. This afternoon I even tied walleye flies to try on a wolf river rig in the hopes of imitating bugs. Picture enclosed. I'll be up through the weekend so hopefully we get far enough away from the hatches that the bite gets going again.

If I were Moosebirds, I would move the ice cream cart outside like the beer carts at a nightclub. 80% of their traffic has to be ice cream related so they could sell it outside. If they have to keep it inside they could have someone outside taking orders/collecting cash and another worker bringing it out so that you don't have to crowd everyone inside. Heck, they could have a dockside ice cream cart filled with icecream sandwiches for grab and go!

that's one of the other lakes!!  LOL!!!!!

I honestly have not even attempted to fish the chain in the recent weeks.  This past week my FIL did go on Tuesday to Trout and found a few willing whitefish for the smoker again but he said it got too hot to fish.  On Thursday and Saturday we went to lake further north and found a few willing crappies to keep us active but could not find any walleyes.

      Awesome report. Thanks @Joe
