prey study in Pioneer Press

Survival rate from egg to 4 year old adult is less than 0.01%. That would be a good survival rate in nature.

A 5 pound adult female will lay about 125,000 eggs.

One thing in this food study,do smallmouth bass eat young walleye, well the young walleye are just coming into the picture now, also on Mille lacs small walleye usually move from inshore to deeper water around July 1. Different habitat, different predator present, are crews moving and checking these habitats also?

It was my understanding that the restrictions lifted or rule changes were largely to encourage fishing of other species to help with lake traffic, not just blaming the concerns with the walleye on too many bass/pike.

Dude, you can throw a door hinge out in a lake and a Bass large or small will hit it!

Should I give it a shot?

Decent looking lure that probably has nice action with that hing. No doubt that will work.

Looks like it would work on Pike's and Eye's in the winter time.
