If you can make a little run there is a bonanza of biting fish up north, the bite is decent almost every where if you can make some adjustments and Walleye Fest in Baudette is Aug 22nd and 23. Sounds like a great party....

The Outdoor Adventure Foundation takes kids with serious illness's and wounded combat veterans fishing and hunting, what a great thing to do. Last Saturday they were at Lake of the Woods..I met Mike Feener at the docks shortly after the big boats came back in for the day. We talked about the organization and how the day on the water went.

It really hasn't gotten very hot yet this summer up north. One of the effects of this cooler summer is fish are staying shallower than you would normally find them this time of the summer. Lake of the Woods charter boats and guide all over are lovin' this. Listen to the conversation on this NCOR Podcast

The first cool stretch of the season come in next week. This is significant for several reasons, most of them very good. Thanks what I talk to Johnnie Candle about today. The late summer-fall fishing pattern is as steady as it gets and it is about to begin

When the water starts to cool down (now)fish behave differently. No matter where you fish it's time to get excited. Johnnie Candle gives some great info on where these biting fish can be found. On this NCOR Podcast

Well, this is it. Probably the 80th NCOR podcast of the summer.

The show takes a break after today and returns with the ice fishing season

in December.

Thanks to Rick and all here at Hot Spot Outdoors for their cooperation and support.

Have a great fall. See you on the water.
