Bayport Excel King Plant Closed until 1 June

My grandson and I intended to visit the Allen S. King Excel Energy Plant in Bayport to check out the fishing. He is off school for spring break. We got down there and the gate was locked with a sign indicating it is closed from 1 March 2014 to 1 June 2014. When the weather starts to warm up in the early spring it was always nice to have a place to shore fish until the ice goes out - looks like that won't happen there this year.

No smoke coming out of the stack so the plant must be shut down.
