KJ's Ice fishing

A group of 8-10 of us are coming up next weekend. Were renting a sleeper through KJ's on the south side of the lake. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with them.

Were renting the big 10 man house with the bar and bar stools inside. I have a feeling its going to turn into more of a drinking trip than a fishing trip grin

Ha sounds like a blast. I brought my wheel house out of there last weekend for a bunch of buddies that were up fishing. From everything I was reading deeper rocks/gravel was as good of a shot as any. They were really nice guys working there and they plowed us a road off the main road to put our house out. The fishing was slow but we didnt move around at all. Good luck and more importantly have fun!

With how slow the fishing has been up there, I'd plan on drinking if I was you. wink

The bottle bass are always biting! Should be a good time either way. If any of you guys are in the area next weekend, feel free to drop by and have a few cold ones!

We went with KJ in that same house about 5 years ago. It was ok, the house is definitely good for having a few beers. That year the house was right by the rock island that is in the SW corner of the lake (can't remember the name) in about 20 FOW. We didn't catch squat, but a wicked cold snap hit the day we went up.

We tried Appledoorn's the next year and have been going with them ever since. Good luck though!
