Clarification/assistance mpls area

Hey Everyone, I was hoping someone could give me an answer to the question that I am looking for. Relatively recently I moved to NE Minneapolis and do a bit of fishing near there (launching from boom island heading up river). From my understanding, north of the ford dam would technically be pool 1?

If that is so, what kind of catch and release/bag limit type things apply for walleye, pike, and others? i know walleye and bass are c&r in pool 2, but wasn't sure what's the deal up north.

The other question, would it be smart to eat fish from the river? I've caught a pair of jeans before so it kind of has me a bit sketched out.

Normal state regs apply. Fish from this section taste delicious including catfish, and the family and myself aren't glowing yet. The river is getting cleaner by the year, although I will say a pair of jeans isn't the nastiest thing ive seen come out of there. I believe its technically called the Saint Anthony Falls pool and I will usually post in this North Miss. as well bc the main channel only goes up to about the 42nd ave bridge then it is pretty shallow for the majority of it. Seems to be more of the same structure rather than those pools south of #1 with really deep sections and backwaters. It really can be a great time of year to fish right now and I have caught some of my biggest smallies only minutes away from Boom Island, they get the bends! PM me sometime and trade some info if you are new to the area I got a few spots you could try out. I actually have been meaning to get to Boom for some shore fishing soon here, some nice walleye structure around there. Grant it they are not fast and furious, but fun none the less.
