Fishing Lida this afternoon on one of the most popular community holes when I hooked this one. They quit making pull tab lids in the 1970's. So this one has been on the bottom for about 40 years. My questions are: Is this past it's spawning life?, Is the growth rate really this poor on Lida? Is this just an example that catch and release works? I did harvest this one. I hope I'm responsible for the extinction of the species.

I agree. You know you should have released that so someone else would have a chance. Just think how many people had to catch that over the years and if they hadn't released it you would have never had the chance at it. Replicas look so much better.
