LMIT, you've been all up on his jock for a while now. You have a massive Manziel man crush.

I don't think you get LMIT's shtick.

That video pretty much sums it all up. Being able to elude a college D and then a throw behind his WR. I swear 80% of his balls are thrown behind his target or to a WR that's standing still. NFL defenses are going to eat him alive. The coverage in the NFL is MUCH tighter.

And I'm glad you guys get you information from what a player says vs what you should see.

Yeah, no sense in getting your info from a player that was on the field. What would he know? crazy

Yup, I trust what the players say over what actually happend. You're right Big Dave, since Dez Bryant plays the game and says he's as good as Megatron I have to take him for his word. Watch a game for once and see for yourself how the game of football is played rather than being told how it's played. Fact is they made adjustments (finally!) and got creative with their front 5 (finally!) and it worked. You're going to sit here and tell me that because Sullivan says nothing changed that it didn't? I can't even believe I'm having this argument. Watch beyond a QB/RB exchange, please for your own good.

Why would we do that when we can just come here and you can tell us?

Well LMIT, I'm no Buck Sutherland but I do know a thing or 2. I know that you just can't line up and move north and south every time and expect to gain yards. Moving your front 5 around some and giving different looks can catch the D off guard. This is something you should watch rather than the QB just dropping back and either handing off, play action, or dropping back to throw. Look at the play as a whole rather than focus on one aspect.

BTW, I do agree with your Gruden comment. I'd love to see him on the sideline.

The difference between what Dez Bryant said and what Sullivan said is that one is an opinion and the other is a fact. I'm pretty sure that Sullivan would know if the blocking schemes had changed. Plus they would have only had 3 days to implement such changes from the last game. I don't think so.

Well thank you for that suggestion. I would have never thought to watch anything but the ball.

Good grief. This guy is something else...

Why are you guys jousting about this nonsense here when the Packers are busy showing us that without Rodgers they are worse than the Vikes.

Packer thread silent??? Hmmm thats funny. I thought Ted Thompson and Mike McCarthy were the smartest people in the room and could do no wrong. All of GB's other players are obviously the best because Ted picked them and Mike coaches them. Surely an injury to Rodgers wouldn't hurt them that much, right?

Welcome to life with no QB GB. Something you haven't had to deal with for the last 30 years.

Gosh, i feel so bad for the packers and their fans....

Based on the huge lack of insight you give to back any opinion of yours up it a safe bet that you have no clue how an offense works in the game of football. You plagiarize from kfan STEADY. That is where you get your takes. It's pretty pathetic really. It seems like you're scared to elaborate on anything you post, most likely due to lack of knowledge.

And you call me something else.

I know what I saw, there were adjustments made and one of those, a major one, was the blocking schemes. That's what teams do at half, they make changes when things aren't working, they don't just go out there are make no change and all of a sudden have success. You and Big Dave seriously don't get it. Dave needs to stick to wrestlemania trivia and you need to go back to seeing if Johnny Manziel's game worn nutcup is up on hsolist yet.

Ever heard of a halftime adjustment? I'm pretty sure everybody on that line knows what down block, pull, and trap mean. They've been doing that since junior high. And I'm sure they have those types of schemes in the play book, they just weren't implementing them

So you're telling me that in the Vikings first 8 games this season they didn't utilize any down blocking, pulling or trapping but they just implemented these techniques in the second half of game 9? For some reason I find that hard to believe.

Maybe they actually succeeded in accomplishing those blocks? Execution has been an issue most of the season.

Typically plays are called with certain words that trigger the play each individual out there is suppose to do. Example: a Trap block: I right 23 "Tango". "Tango" would be the trigger for a trap block. Playbooks are loaded with these "phrases" so players don't need to know every single play but know what they are suppose to do every single play. To say the Vikings had no plays that incorporated any of those blocking techniques until the 2nd half of their week 9 game is just crazy. What most likely happened was that during halftime they made the changes to implement those schemes more, and again these guys have been practicing those techniques since junior high or even before that so no it shouldn't be hard to believe.

Give it up juice, they didn't do anything different. Our coaches aren't smart enough to figure out how to run a 3 wr set or a screen pass. They didn't do anything different. They NEVER do anything different

I don't know how you guys do it but I guess I can try. Next game I will only watch the QB/RB exchange and the QB drop backs. Should make for a fun and exciting game. Then I will come on here and post: "Man those Vikes stink! Man Ponder can throw! This D can't stop anybody!" I won't elaborate as to why they can't do anything only that it didn't happen. I'll have to jus dig for a way to bring it down to you alls remedial level. Then we'll be able to understand eachother.

I've done my part to lower the lake level by pressure washing my dock all the way up to my upper deck. I figure that lowered Vermilion by at least 1/4" lake-wide....

On the south end...   This week was a great week of walleye fishing on Lake of the Woods.  In addition, saugers, jumbo perch, some monster pike and an occasional crappie in the mix!     There are three fishing techniques being used to score Lake of the Woods gold (walleyes).  First, drifting or slow trolling crawler harnesses.  In a nutshell, using about a 2 ounce weight and a 3-4 foot harness with a spinner, two hooks and a crawler.     A tip for crawler harnesses, hook the dark part or head of the crawler on the front hook.  Try to keep the crawler straight between the two hooks.  Try to leave a few inches of crawler off of your last hook and pinch off the rest.  The walleyes and saugers will still hit it, but you will create more hookups.   The second presentation is a jig and minnow or frozen emerald shiner.  Basically locate fish out on the mud or on structure, anchor up and jig.  If you are amongst fish, they will find you.     The third way walleyes are being caught, and some may be surprised about, is trolling crankbaits.  Some have put on the trolling gear when the walleyes weren't as cooperative or when the fish are spread out.  Lots of success catching good numbers of walleyes and good sized fish.     Lots of fish out over deep mud or deep structure.  The deep mud is holding a lot of walleyes in 21' - 27'.  Electronics will help you mark fish.     There is another shallow water bite still taking place anywhere from 5 - 17'.  Much of the shallow bite has to do with feeding opportunities on various minnow spawns, crawfish and hatches.  Not every walleye is targeting the same prey.  Lots of opportunities.  .   Gold, orange, chartreuse, glow and pink, or a combo of these colors, are a great place to start.   Anglers can keep a combined limit of 6 walleyes and saugers.  Up to 4 can be walleyes.  All walleyes 19.5 - 28.0 inches must be released.  One fish over 28 inches may be kept.  The possession limit in MN is one day's possession.  If you catch a limit, eat some fish and freeze a couple, make sure to count your remaining fish left over for your possession.   On the Rainy River...  With some rain in the area, the river was flowing with a strong current and some debris this past week.  Debris has slowed considerably and water clarity is starting to improve.     Water clarity is important for walleyes, saugers, pike and smallmouth bass.  Sturgeon are much more dialed into scent to find their next meal, consequently, when the sturgeon season opens again on July 1st for the keep season, things should be good.   The fishing happening on the river is focused in areas just out of the current.  Most fish will hang just off, able to grab a passing meal but not having to expend too much energy.  Current can be good as it focuses fish in areas.   Jigging with a minnow is effective when you are on fish.  Otherwise, pulling spinners and trolling crankbaits along shoreline breaks against the current in 6 - 12' of water is producing a mixed bag of walleyes, saugers, pike, smallmouth bass and an occasional crappie.  Up at the NW Angle...  Fishing for a variety of species has been excellent and is in full summer swing up at the Angle.   For those fishing out of the NW Angle, both the Minnesota and Ontario waters of Lake of the Woods are producing a number of nice walleyes.  Many fish have slid off onto deeper structure.  With that said, there are so many areas of forage on LOW, walleyes will be in numerous spots, some shallow and some deeper, taking advantage of opportunities.  Lots of fish to be had, just go fishing.   Jigging structure has been effective.  When fish are a bit spread out, pulling spinners with crawlers or trolling crankbaits is catching a lot of fish.     In this part of the lake, expect to catch walleyes, saugers, pike, jumbo perch, crappies, pike and smallmouth bass.   Muskie anglers are after it and reporting good numbers, and in true LOW style, some big fish over the 50 inch mark.  Summer patterns are starting to take hold, but fish are holding in a variety of areas still.

We got .5” last night. Hasn’t affected the lake level yet. It’s been steady the past three days here (Frazer Bay). RLG

Water Levels I believe are now at a record high with all the rain last week, and more fell last night.  I hope it stops raining soon for all the people who have businesses and live in the area.  Water can do so much damage.

MarkB, Where did you find the perch?  I would love to get into some of those.  MarkB are you fishing more on the east or west end?

Where are the water temps now with all the rain?  Coming up for a week on Friday and want to see what I can find out.  I have had a very poor fishing so far this year.  New to the area and just can't figure it out.  Home is on the west end of big bay.
