Smurf, we were up there getting sap today. Heard there is 2' of ice and wheeler travel is easy. Fishing has been ok I hear. We've only used plastic and tungsten jigs the last three years. Good luck. Maybe 5 or 6 inches of snow in the woods.

You couldn't tough it out with extra blankets ?? We got 142 gallons of sap Thursday. Can't hardly keep up with it this year.

Did you have power? Should have just used your "backup" electric heats you have on hand just in case! ?

My mother still has control. If she heard electric heaters where used she'd blow a gasket. She flips out when we turn ceiling fans on.

I have a nipco heater up there, its propane. Let's just say I dumped the issue on Mom's favorite son and grandson.

I haven't heard anything. Haven't been out lately. Thanks to the National Weather Service I stained my deck this morning. Then they changed their mind and now it is sprinkling lightly.?
