Trail cam Pic's or Video

I agree - they must targeting IA hunters. I think a lot of the calls come set on mature buck setting. My Slam Talker did. It's a little deeper than I prefer so I usually tone it down a bit. The deeper pitch does carry through the woods better though.

Checked my main scrape cam with high hopes today after a two week soak. Pretty disappointing card pull with just a handful of yearlings. Last year I had 10+ bucks here with several age classes. Not a good sign for upcoming seasons. frown

This dude worked the cedar branch for over 10 minutes. Switch to 1080p for best quality.

SNS,

Does the recent development East of your one hunting area bode well for that woods or does it hurt that spot? I noticed 3 or 4 houses going up in that country development recently. That little island woods used to be a honey hole and now there are houses all the way around it.

Getting worse every year! I've mainly hunted public this year.

I keep telling myself to try hunting some of the public in your county, but have failed to do so for several seasons now. One year I even scouted a WMA pretty hard and found tons of sign and kicked up plenty of deer, but never came back during the season. Oh well, at least there's good ice fishing out there smile

Great stuff S&S. That's pretty funny right there. Love how he looks around at the end to make sure nobody saw him. grin

I know this pic isn't good, but it is a good sign he made it through the opening weekend of gun season. You can't see much of his rack, but his body is big and what you can see looks outside the ears. full-32019-39259-buck.jpg

Stick - I really like your videos. I see it says buschnell. What is full name of your cam? Do you like it?

Thanks - I really like them.

The two bucks are from a 2013 Trophy Cam HD Max 119576c and the doe & fawn are from a 2013 NatureView 119439. I've got a few 2012 TC HD MAX 119476c's that I like a lot too.

Let me know if you need anything more specific re the camera specs!

I'd be pretty happy to see most any of those right about now! At least these little guys continue to entertain me. Still chasing anything that moves...

Well I know that one nice buck evaded the orange army and is still walking around my woods. Haven't seen this particular buck since right before rut started but I got him on my camera twice this week. Too bad it is always in the middle of the night. Maybe with the Smokepole hunters hitting the woods this weekend, he might more during daylight. Hoping to find out tomorrow. full-17731-39635-wgi_0011.jpg

It was good. Tagged out in early sept. with a velvet buck. Here's a pic of him from last year. Only got one of him this year in late July.full-41772-40033-sunp0016.jpg

Yes it was. But atleast instead of wondering where he went, i know he died. Never put the tape to him but a good guess would be around 160. Not sure what he died from either. There was not much left of him.
