Lake of the Wood Technique

Please do not remove Curt. Anybody using the spinner technique "Slow Death" on Lake of the Woods? I have found in very effective in the islands north of the border. How about south?

It's a bent hook that gives your crawler a tantalizing spinning action. I usually use a smile blade with mine with and half to 3/4 of a crawler trolled at about .8mph give or take. Works good. Google or check walleyecentral for lots of info.

great technique when it works. Just another hook to add to the arsenal to change things up a bit. Sometimes it works and other times not, I've had the best luck with no spinner, just the hook and snell. You need to use snells that won't tangle though with a good quality ball bearing swivel. If you have it set up wrong it can be a nightmare!
