Kevin Williams...

Needs to be let go or released from his contract. He has done absolutely nothing the last 2-3 years to garner the kind of pay he is receiving and there are plenty of options out there to sign...let alone draft. This is the year you part ways with him...and his contract.

Don't sign him at a reduced contract...part ways with him all together. This draft is front loaded with DT's...pick one in the 1st and get on with it!!

He's a "Ring of Honor" type player...no doubt. With the FA's out there right now and the way the draft is setting up, we need to move on from him and get younger right now!

He's making way too much for what he gives the Vikes anymore and taking up too much $$$ to sign younger, better players.

The rest of the league has seemed to figure this out...c'mon Spielman...do the same!!

I have seen a couple mock drafts where DT Star Loteluei(sp) falls all the way to us because of his heart condition. It would be nice to get a player of his caliber if everything checks out ok and everyone else is chicken. He is projected to go top 5 if he is in perfect health.

Zepman, I enjoy your insight but I will have to disagree. Williams hasn't been the player he was in the past but he is still serviceable and has game left in him. He still commands respect and can still penetrate. D is not our top priority in this draft. With your #1 pick the top concern needs to be addressed, unless there's a special layer available and at #23 there won't be any. You know what my thoughts are on a Wideout. The D got wore down so much this past year because the offense was so stagnant. The whole Dline had a rough year because they were on the field so much. Same with the season before. We need players on the other side of the ball not only to produce and have a balanced attack but to keep AP healthy. We all know that he is a freak and I am not trying to make a talent comparison here but the model of run heavy and great D with one back (Ravens early 2000's) leaves the RB with a short career. What happend to Jamal Lewis, Terrell Davis, Alexander, and many more that were heavily relied upon? We don't want that to happen to AP, we need him to last. Build around him with talented skill players. Our O line is starting to shape up. Leave K Williams alone and address the Offense.
