Boat Cover

scalescratcher

Question

Bought a used Crestliner FishHawk1750 this spring. I got a cover in the deal and am looking for some storage tips. The cover has 2 "ports" that look like they are for some kind of mast or support and rubber bungee type straps for tie down. I got no hardware with the cover and need some idea of the support system some use and the tie down method.

There should be a couple poles that telescope. Maybe hiding in a storage compartment.

Try some PVC and make your own. Cheap and strong and dont rust or breakdown in the weather.

Unless you have all the O.E. parts that came with the cover, there really is no right or wrong way to tie it down. Whatever works for you and gets the job done. Do the straps have hooks in the end and will they reach the trailer? If not, plain old bungie cords will work. Just make sure to use the ones with the plastic hooks and not the metal. You wouldn't believe how many paint and gelcoat jobs we get here at the shop from metal bungie cord hook damage.

Thanks for the help! The PVC idea sounds like a winner. I did check and found no poles with the unit. The cover has rubber cords attached for tie down but no hooks or clips. I'll give the bungee cord idea a look.
As usual this site has given me direction!!!

if you are storing it outside, iv'e found that a poly tarp over the canvas helps save the canvas from sun and water damage over the winter.clothes line rope is cheap and works good for tie down for storage

We fished Thursday - Saturday. Couldn’t get any marks to bite on the west end so started east. Caught lots of 9-15” eyes on the mud side of the transition. Mostly crawlers for us on Thurs-Fri but bite changed to minnows on Saturday. Our rainbows ran small but had a few big chubs mixed in. Big chubs we’re best. No eyes on small suckers.  A jig and sucker or crawler on 9-14’ rocks got smallies going in several places. Rocky points coming off islands also produced smallies with tubes, deep jerkbaits and ned rigs on east end. Also landed a 45” ski on a crawler harness.

Hello. The first step is to read reviews written by customers. This way, you can determine if a service delivers on time and does not charge hidden fees. The paperwriter reviews should also state whether or not the company guarantees original work. Some of the most reliable review platforms include Trustpilot and SiteJabber. I also don’t really believe that you can earn online casinos. There you can play, put bets, win and more often lose money. In the casino for Norway, the same rules apply as for the rest of the casino. If you are lucky, you will win. But to earn money, it is unlikely.
