Best Depthfinder Around $350 Bucks

JWB475

Question

I am in the market for a new depthfinder after my Humminbird died on me, for the second straight year (4 years old). Looking to spend around $300-400..

I have looked at the Garmin 240, Humminbird Matrix 35 and Lowrance X-87...

Any thoughts? The Huminbird Matrix 35 has some nice features, but I don't know if I will give them any more of my money..

Thanks for the help,

John B

I bought a Lowrance LMS-320 sonar/gps unit this year and it is unbelievable. The resolution 320x320 pics is sooo clear and having the gps built in is great. I paid $415 for it. Good luck.

Well I know someone who just put the Lowrance X-97 on with speed and temp for $380.

Seems like a quality unit for a good price.

I agree on the lms-320, I have been running this unit since opener and really think it is the best unit for the money. Seems to really mark fish/baitfish well even up in the water colum.
