Good local lakes for Walleye night-bite bobber fishing?

Recommended Posts

Some of my best Walleye fishing memories as a kid were sitting on the lake with my dad or my buddies on a warm summer night watching the lighted bobber go down. I'd like to relive that with my boys.

We used to go Lake Washington in Meeker County for nigh-bobber fishing, but a few attempts in the last few years failed to recapture old memories.

Any other suggestions for local lakes that are good for night-bobber fishing?

Lake sylvia would be my first choice. seems to have a decent night bite this time of the year. Find a nice underwater point, and anchor up and fish that 10 to 20 foot zone.

Really???

I've never fished Sylvia at night, but I've fished that lake since I was a kid and never caught a single walleye. Not one.

But hey, I'll give anything a try! Maybe I never caught one there because I've never fished walleyes at night!

With the gin clear water on Sylvia, late evening or after dark would be your best bet for walleye's.

Clearwater would also be a good choice, lots of good structure to fish out there. But again this lake on most days will have a better evening/dark bite than a day time bite going. Dont be too put off though, you will still get plenty durring the day time hours, you will just have to work a bit harder for them.
