New fishing partner

River Dan

Recommended Posts

I'd like you all to meet my new dog Gus, I've had him alittle over a week, he's been house trained from day one, he's 7 1/2 weeks old and already loves riding in the boat and watching the water, he also is the most spoiled dog on the planet!

River Dan. I'm happy to relinquish the most spoiled title to Gus.

My fish finder (Thunder) cops a real attitude if she can't go out in the boat.

Below she is anxiously pointing the way to the dock so she can re-leave herself.

By the way, your name came up when I was talking to a young friend of mine.

Seems he's done a little ink work for you. He's a great kid and really loves to fish the river.

Congrats on the new addition being Gus.

Love the name! Just told the wife the other day our next dog will be name Gus.

I have an 8 year old black lab named Blaze, who I spoiled like you do to yours. lol That turned into a dog that would rather be in the water than the boat haha! Never a trip goes by that he is with me that he doesn't either seem to jump out heading back to the landing or maybe purposly falls overboard lol.

It drives me nuts but I wouldn't trade it for the world. He brings me entertainment. Congrats on the new pup, they're great fishing partners for sure.

Well they already have the gas powered drink blenders for the beach, Mike. 🤙

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
