Ice Thickness

Can anyone tell me the ice thickness on the river at this time?

I know LOTW has about 24" of good ice, but I am thinking the river will have something like 15" or so.

I am not sure exactly. I know some people who have been fishing by Birchdale, but I have not heard the ice depth. Further up the river by Birchdale you will find less ice, but as the current decreases as you proceed downstream there is usually more ice. I will ask next time I hear of someone heading there.

I was just trying to get a feel on how fast the river could open up based on normal spring time temps and thinner ice conditions.
