How's the ice? Is anyone been pulling out wheelhouses with trucks yet? Thinking about pulling my house out this weekend with a half ton truck.

Fished out of the access on the SW corner 2 weeks ago and it was about 9" of ice. That is just an estimate, never took a tape measure to it. Heard through the grapevine that there was an open spot somewhere in that vicinity last weekend. Guessing that it froze over this past week but would be on the lookout for week spots wherever you venture.

Checked a few lakes out today and the ice conditions are very good. Ice is running 10-15" and I am seeing more trucks driving out. Be safe.

I have heard that trucks have gone through the ice on Reno and Oscar in the last couple of days, check ice before you are driving out there!

Here's the picture I saw of the truck going through on Reno. Looks like they were trying to cross an ice heave. Never a good idea.

I have not heard any reports of vehicles going in around Alex. this past week. I will check with a couple of sources and see if they heard anything.

My first mistake was checking around. Everyone had a differant story. I've now heard Reno, Latoka, Smith and Oscar. Who knows...
