Laska, bring that perch along when you come to winne.

How in the world you ever sit still in a spear house, worse than a little kid, " Dad, are we there yet" cry

Hey everyone,

Here is the tenative plan as far as the weekend goes.

From what i have gathered, most people are going to show up on friday, and get set up, which is what laska and i will be doing, as we will be coming from another lake, that i am sure we will have sore shoulders from!

So with that in mind, lets all meet up on friday night for pizzas. We can pick the biggest cabin that is there, or is someone wants to say we can us there cabin, that is find to. Everyone is in charge of bringin there own pizza so we all make sure we have food.

Saturday.

We will all go out on the lake, and spear all day as we usally do. We will have the big meal like we usally do at 11:30 am. Place will be picked friday night over pizza. Everyone please bring a dish.

Please post here what you are bringing, so people have an idea.

Saturday night

Poker Tournament. Yes, i will be there to win it all again, as i am the champ from last year. Should be a good time. I already have all the poker chips packed up and ready to go. so were good there. Cabin for this will be picked on Friday night

Sunday

Hit the lake again in the morning, and spear till 1 pm. Giveaways and trophy presentation will giving for the new LORD TROPHY. Photos will be taken of the whole group and so on.

Again, if anyone has any questions about the event, please let ME know. Its going to be a fun and excited weekend with all you guys again.

I'm up for anything. When I booked our cabin I was told 5 would be a fairly tight fit so not sure how big ours is.

i like the idea of having them do it, just so we have so much more room, and can talk to everyone.

That sounds good to me. When is everyone planning on getting there on Friday. I don't have a wheeler, so i will need some help getting to where ever we are going to set up at. The GTG can't get here soon enough with the lack of ice around the cities.

ha ha, good luck with that.

Im sure the likes of a few of the smaller lakes will freeze over soon. When i lived down there, there is a few lakes that you were able to get out earlier then others.

just got some real bad news. my parents chimney separated on their wood-burning furnace and flooded the house with smoke. bad news for me is my wife works weekends and they were gonna be my babysitter. now they're in a hotel & won't be able to watch them. bowhunt, you can still use the cabin if i can't find a replacement sitter, i just have to give you a heads up on how to open it up, turn on the gas, etc so can you pm me your phone #? hope you guys have fun, i was REALLY looking forward to this trip. first time i woulda been to 3rd river in almost 6yrs.

Hopefully you will be able to find a sitter so you can come and enjoy the GTG. I will have to get that Nordeast to you one way or another, you are being more then kind to let me stay at your cabin.

Checked 1 small one on the way home 2" 50 yards out eek but the dam spillway is only 100 yards away. Once the kid gets off the bus I'm putting on my PFD and picking up my buddy and heading out to check some other lakes. The channel on south lindstrom had 6 porties and one guy out in front of the dinner bell at 3pm tonight.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
