Sunday Twins game in HD?

So, I finally get a chance to sit down and watch a Twins game on Sunday only to see that the game was not available in HD on Dish Network! Did anyone else experience the same thing? This is ridiculous! How about you guys on other programming providers, was it available to you in HD? I am just wondering who to complain to: MN Twins, Fox Sports North, Dish Network? I think "all of the above" is probably the best coarse of action!

For what we have to pay for tv programming, game tickets, etc. we should be able to watch the game in HD every time!

It was HD on Direct TV... I even commented it was a great picture as compared to channel 29 or 45 whoever used to broadcast Twins games on Sunday.

Non HD programming sucks on a HD TV. I very rarely watch the channel, or show if it isnt broadcasted in HD.

I have 2 HD's with dish, and yes is is not as clear without HD, but still watchable. I am just surprised at being upset about such a trivial thing.

I would be happy to watch a Twins game period. I can count the number of games I've watched on my hands in the last 4 years because I'm stuck in Iowa without FSN North!!!

MNice- I know it sounds trivial and it probably is, but I spent the money to upgrade my tv's and sat. dish system so I can watch the game in HD.... I guess what frustrates me is that I know the games on Friday and Saturday were in HD...then when I got a chance to sit down and enjoy my new tv and sat. system....the game wasn't in HD. I was "venting" than anything else and wondered if anyone else had the same issue.

I did watch the game anyway but I felt like I had on the wrong prescription glasses on! grin

Dish Network (and others programming providers) advertise the HD progamming and state "watch your favorite team in HD", not "occasionally watch your favorite team in HD". LOL! wink

BTW...I did contact Dish Network and inquired as to why the game wasn't available to me in HD. To their credit, they did not try to blame anyone else. They said it was a Dish Network issue and promised to resolve the issue as quickly as possible so it would not happen again. They gave me a coupon for one free PPV event.

Same here, I was surprised it wasn't in HD. I also have dish network.

shamalex72- I would contact Dish Network and express your disappointment. You may get a coupon for a free PPV event as well.

I would have kept complaining and you could have gotten more as eventually they will even offer $10 a month off for a year..........thats what happened to me when FSN was not available.....I complained and they offered PPV coupons I said no thanks then they offered something else the next time I complained and I no thanks and finally the third time I called and complained to them they gave me the offer above and 3 days later FSN was back on. Be persistant

Now whats going on? No HD again, but regular fsn worked for about 15 minutes then shut off. Said smartcard does not have authorization for this program. mad

I have charter and the game isnt on. It says Fsn programing instead of twins baseball.

seems dish and fsn are negotiating again. says tonight's game, plus a few dozen other games will not be televised.

I found this after a little searching-

"Many fans of the Minnesota Twins in the Fargo-Moorhead area won't be able to catch tonight's game against the New York Yankees.

The Twins game tonight - in addition a few dozen other games this year - won't be available on Cable One or Dish Network while those providers negotiate deals with Fox Sports Net.

About 105 games will still be available on Cable One and Dish Network.

Tonight's game is available on Midcontinent Communications and DirecTV.

      Looks like you could use a FM hat. 😉    The future son in law prefers the lump coal.  He’ll start it in coal starter over a propane burner, then dump in it his smoker grill as needed.   Congrats on the clean break “over there”.

      I have heard it's because of the drought. I know in my area ( meeker co.) the sloughs that they trap minnows in have dried up.

      Excuse my ignorance, but was is driving the bait prices? Usually the shortage is due to a late ice-out from the swamps and streams. This year should have been much better.

      I should probably learn to use the 6+ containers of lures I have collecting dust in my tackle box. We got on a decent crappie bite the last couple of evenings and I broke out some plastics.  I caught some crappies on them ,just need to build my confidence in using them! I did notice they didn't seem to hold on to them as long as minnows!
