Does anyone know what the deal is with FSN and Dish network? Are they staying divorced? I am in panic mode now... Any other options for watching the Twins on Dish network??? Tomorrow is opening night, and I can't watch EVERY game at the bar...

To the best of my knowledge they have resloved their issues. I have dish network and I am getting FSN on channel 436.

What!! Oh yeah, I'v got DirectTV. You scared me for a bit!! WOW. I'd switch just for that fact alone. Good luck....

Dish has FSN as a part of the sports package, at least on mine. I think $5 per month or something. The FSN battle has been settled right after hockey season started.

Why anyone would have dish network instead of directv is beyond me

For once Sled, we agree on something. I had Dish once. Once. I swear I lost signal when the wind blew out of the wrong direction.

I'll admit I was pretty upset about that FSN thing back in the fall. It was like watching a couple of 3 year olds fighting over Legos or something. No issues watching the Twins this year on Dish.

Besides that I've had zero problems with Dish. I lose signal very rarely (3 or 4 times a year) and only preceding really strong rainstorms. Kind of a heads up that we are going to get SOAKED!! Must've been a Dish alignment issue if you lost it really often. We're looking at the same birds.

I had dish, loved it! Same thing, very rarely lost signal. I switched to mediacom this past fall, to bundle phone, internet, and cable all in one, and save money. It wasnt worth it. Digital HD sucks, compared to Dish. I had Direct tv many years ago, besides the price being high, I didnt have any problems with them either. But as soon as my mediacom contract is up, I am switching back to Dish network.

I got Dish last May, been happy so far, but I experience the same issues when a thunderstorm approaches I lose signal. Other than that I have no complaints.

The receiver and equipment are much nicer than what our local cable company offered in addition to a much better HD channel line up compared to cable.

Does Direct Tv allow you to do the multple rooms on a single DVR etc like Dish network?

That is a slick multi-room system Dishnet has...... a little more hassle but we "Direc tv" can network our system's too.

The signal strength problem would be an installer issue unrelated to either company's service.

Go Twins!

I've had dish at my last 2 houses over the past 6-7 years. I've been very satisfied with them. My parents have Direct and I hate it, and their price keeps getting bumped up.

Doesnt directv have way more HD channels (not counting OD and stuff like that)?

How much does dish charge for NFL Sunday ticket?

I heard you don't even get MLB and NFL network on dish unless you upgrade package

I used to be a DirecTV customer and switched to Dish Network. Been with Dish Network since '05. Until now I have not regreted making the switch. This is the only issue I have had.

I just talked to a buddy of mine who has Dish Network as well. He said he watched the whole game without any problems. So what gives? Some of us were blacked-out and others were not?

Water Temps 48-52. I tried for crappies and caught two walleye. I can't even crappie fish. 1/32 ounce jig and a tiny minnow

Looks like you could use a FM hat. 😉    The future son in law prefers the lump coal.  He’ll start it in coal starter over a propane burner, then dump in it his smoker grill as needed.   Congrats on the clean break “over there”.

Should really start a What yeah Smoking thread!    Another fun place we tried when up in Duluth. OMC stands for "Oink, Moo, Cluck" They serve pork cracklins for starter to test their sauces on.

On the east side of St. Boni. It's not too far from me. A friend lives in St Boni and loves the place. I haven't tried it yet.

First time ever going there with the wife. Little spendy but they make some darn good piles of meat! We had the brisket! 😋

I have heard it's because of the drought. I know in my area ( meeker co.) the sloughs that they trap minnows in have dried up.

Excuse my ignorance, but was is driving the bait prices? Usually the shortage is due to a late ice-out from the swamps and streams. This year should have been much better.

I should probably learn to use the 6+ containers of lures I have collecting dust in my tackle box. We got on a decent crappie bite the last couple of evenings and I broke out some plastics.  I caught some crappies on them ,just need to build my confidence in using them! I did notice they didn't seem to hold on to them as long as minnows!
